JPT Final Result badge

In the same style as one done for the semi-final v Coventry, this lovely pair of badges are a great way to remember a great day and add nicely to the JPT 'set'.

Life without Crewe button badge

Button badge seen on ebay in late 2013.....   although I think we all know that there is far more to life than Crewe!!

Poppy badges 2013

Following the popularity of the 2012 poppy badge, more were made for 2013 in five varieties.  They are beautiful badges with the subtle feature this year that the leaf points to 11 o' clock in line with the time of remembrance.

BlogBook of this blog

Every now and again I like to produce a 'hard copy' of this blog so I can have it as my 'on the shelf' reference.  I just got one done and I love the way it comes out!  If any of my blog readers ever want one please let me know!

JPT & Playoff Victory Badge

Lovely pair of badges produced to celebrate the two wembley victories in 2012 & 2013.  Made in two different colours (slightly more red badges were done) with a picture of each trophy and the club logo.

JPT Badge

There is an interesting story behind this nice badge that has now come to light a while after the JPT appearance at Wembley.

Fellow collector Andy S was contacted by a guy who did not get to sell these badges at Wembley. The story is that after selling the 50 he did for Southend he was making his way to our end when the police "arrested" him (not sure what for but it meant he was not able to sell to Crewe fans).  Andy managed to get his hands on all 50 of the red ones produced and make them available to us all.

Insert logo badge

I featured this badge on the blog back in 2010 but now I have one in my collection I can add some extra detail.  The badge is plastic and just over an inch wide with the logo in the centre indeed being a soft insert type.  I am still happy though to finally add it to my collection.

JPT Final Badge #4

This is a great 'unofficial' badge that was produced in two varieties (one featuring each team in the final).  The badge is nice and big and the design detail on the trophy is great!

JPT Final Badge #3

These badges were semi-official in that they were available from the official stalls on Wembley Way but they don't really have that "official" look to them.  A noticeable exclusion is an actual reference to the Johnstones Paint Trophy.

JPT Final Badge #2

This is the official match badge available inside Wembley Stadium.  It is pretty and colourful but it is of pretty poor quality when compared to other badges from the day.

JPT Final Badge #1

These are probably the nicest badges produced for Crewe's first appearance in a major cup final.  Featuring the match details, both logos and an image of the trophy itself this badge (available in blue and in red) these are great badges.

Blue & Green logo badge

One to go in the "finally obtained" category, its the blue outer/green inner version of these logo badges that were produced in six colour varities back in the 90s.  These are identifiable by the three stripes at the lions feet as opposed to the usual two on the more common logo badges from that era.

Gresty Road Record Attendance badge (AS)

The second of the Gresty Road record attendance badges (vs Spurs) to be produced this year, produced in the same style as the Coventry JPT badge and featuring all the details from the game and the Crewe logo from the 60s.

Crewe v Coventry - 2013 JPT Northern Final result badge

Badge produced in two colourways to celebrate the JPT Northern Final victory over Coventry City.  It features both the aggregate score and the match details from each of the two legs.

Gresty Road Record Attendance badge (AKP)

Limited Edition set by AKP badges made to commemorate the record attendance at Gresty Road (20,000 vs Spurs in 1960).  Produces in 4 varieties with each limited to 25.

Steve Phillips Charity badge

Current (2013) Crewe goalkeeper Steve Phillips hs been involved in much charity work over the last year and his latest venture is a London-Paris bike ride.  This badge was made and sold to raise funds for the charity.  Well done Steve.

Club and Country

This lovely Crewe Alex & England badge is long overdue as people have been asking for one of these for years.  It is certainly work the wait.  Its the old club logo next to the cross of St George.

Coventry v Crewe JPT Trophy Semi Final 2013

These 5 badges are the ones I have so far from the February 2013 Johnstones Paint Trophy Semi Final vs Coventry City.  The top badge was found on ebay and is enamel with all the match details.  The bottom four badges were obtained at the ground on the night and are metal backed with that sticky type inset.  All seem to be done with the 1st leg at Coventry in mind as the coventry shirt comes first.  I heard rmours that there may have been more badges on the night in Cov so I'll keep a lookout.  I am also watching to see if a 2ng leg version of the enamel badge has been made.

Spurs Road to Wembley 1961

This white "Road to Wembley" badge was produced in 2012 as part of a set in 6 colours (white, red, light blue, dark blue, silver and gold) commemorating Tottenhams 1961 FA Cup Victory.  Spurs played Crewe in the 4th round beating us 5-1 at White Hart Lane.  The Crewe logo used is the intertwined C & A that could be seen on the club programme at the time.  The CAFC logo at the top is Charlton who were Spurs victims in Rd 3.

Crewe v Cardiff 2006 Match Badge

This Crewe v Cardiff badge from April 2006 was part of a very short lived venture by someone in Cardiff who started producing match badges for the last few games of the 05/06 season and then apparently stopped.

In the words of the guy I bought it off...."It was made by the unofficial badge seller at Cardiff. He only covered the last 3 away games that season v Southampton, Crewe & Coventry, I don't think they sold that well because he didn't bother the following season."

This badge is both rare and nicely made.

Nick Powell 25

This badge from 2012 shows the red shirt and no.25 of Nick Powell who left Crewe to join Manchester United in the Summer of 2012.  Its made for Manchester United but the red and number are exactly as they were from his time at Crewe.

"The Alex" scarf badge

Also new in the club shop just before Christmas 2012 was this small scarf badge featuring the words "The Alex", one of Crewe's nicknames...  It would be nice to have a Railwaymen one too but I guess that would be too long to fit!

Red and White Ball Badge

This official badge appeared in the club shop just before Christmas 2012.  Not overly exciting but a nice new badge to add to the collection.  The badge is about 1" in diameter with the club logo on top of a red & white ball.

Playoff Final badge set (with score)

Following on from the set I had made to commemorate to Brentford Playoff final from 1997, Andrew S has had this lovely set made to commemorate our recent Wembley success.  Available in 4 colourways, the badge features the team logos, match details and the score.  Nice job!

Travelling Alex

The "Travelling Alex" is the name of the supporters group who go to away games on the unofficial coaches run by Scott K and Fordy.  This badge (produced in blue and red)  features the styalised club logo that has been adopted by the Travelling Alex.

Crewe Poppy Badge

Great new badge produced to commemorate rememberance sunday in the UK.  This badge, featuring the old club logo and a poppy, proved hugely popular and sold out very quickly.
