1994-95 Division Two Playoff badges

This playoff pin set to commemorate the 94-95 D2 playoffs was made as part of a wider set in 2010.  According to the maker (a guy called Paul Booth) the plan was to do badges for all playoff years for all leagues but they seem to have stopped after only a selected amount of years/leagues were produced.  This is one of only 2 of Crewe's playoff runs that made it (the other is featured in an earlier post).  One improvement since the first Crewe badge in this set appeared is that the logo is now the correct one for the period rather that the new design that came out in the late 90s.  As you can see, there were 50 of each badge produced.

Wembley badge 3

This one is an unofficial badge that was available from a seller outside Wembley Stadium on the day (thanks to Dave S for finding it for me!).  Nice to look at but obviously it is of the less desirable insert format rather than good quality enamel.  However, still a nice addition to the collection.

Orange button badge

This big button badge is about 3" in diameter and is far more orange than the scan suggests.  No idea where it originates from or whether it was an official production (I suspect not).  Judging by the age and style I'm thinking 70s or early 80s.

Hull on Tour 2005/06 badges

A strange set of badges (in five colour varieties) to apparently celebrate the away trips of Hull during the 05/06 season.  Featured on these is a really small Crewe logo alongside a few other clubs.

Crewe v Wolves July 2011

Three more fantastic pre-season badges for the match against Wolves in July 2011.  Two badges for the match itself (one each each of the team colours, red & gold) and then one covering the whole of Wolves pre-season including a nice red crewe logo in the top corner.

Wembley Badge 2

These two "unofficial" playoff final badges (one red, one white) are probably the nicest of all those produced (at least that I have seen so far).  Uniquely the crewe logo simply says "crewe"...  presumably for either space or copywrite reasons....

Cradle to the Grave....

The four badges in this set were the last of this style of Crewe badge that were produced (I think).  The quality was so poor (badly positioned stickers on a metal backplate) that I was not unhappy to see the end of the sets!
