I came accross this old, beaten up badge a few weeks ago and have never seen one like it before. Its a red boot with CAFC stamped accross the middle. As always, this may have been made with Charlton in mind but there is no clear indication either way.

More kit badges - 2001/02 & 2002/03
KIT BADGE FROM SEASON 2002/03
Thanks to Dave S again for showing me these badges that are missing from my collection. To Dave's knowledge these badges along with http://crewepins.blogspot.com/2008/10/kit-badge-from-season-2004-05.html & http://crewepins.blogspot.com/2008/10/kit-pin-season-2005-06.html & the 1999/2000 badge (which I have yet to do a post on but you can see it in my collection update picture) make up the full set of kit badges ever done by Crewe for actual season kits....
Therefore we have 1999/2000, 2001/02, 2003/04, 2004/05 & 2006/07.
It seems strange that one was not done for 2000/01 or for the years since 2007.

Collection Update
Division 2 Runners Up 2003 Badge
Cheers to Dave for this one, this badge commemorates the Alex finishing 2nd in Div 2 in 2003 and getting promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt. The badge itself is not good quality enamel like the other kit badges but its certainly one I'd like in my collection. According to Dave, this was not a club produced badge but was actually one being sold by a guy in the street on the day.
Crewe / Rangers badge
I just picked this up on my recent trip to Crewe. Not sure why it was made and by who but its a nice little badge. The Rangers logo is on the right and the old Crewe logo (minus the lion) is on the left.
Shield Badge
I already have the red badge in this set (see this post http://crewepins.blogspot.com/2009/06/new-logo-badge-red.html ) but until Dave S showed me his collection I was unaware of the white version!

Crewe Alex badge & programme shop
Just wanted to put a quick note in to say thanks to Dave in the badge shop at Gresty Road for sharing his collection with me when I was there for the Accrington game on Apr 24th. I took many photos so look out for them over the next few weeks!
If you don't know about it, the Crewe badge and programme shop is located through an unassuming door just to the left of the main ticket office. Dave has loads of badges (not just Crewe) and there are loads of programmes in there too. Pay a visit next time you are at Gresty Road for a match!

Match badges from late in the 2009/10 Season
After seemingly disappearing for a while, a few of these glass fronted insert match badges have been appearing again late in the season. I spoke to the guy who makes them and I guess he makes them only when he thinks there is a specific demand. I wanted ones for the games I recently went to and he duly obliged by saying he will do them for me.
